Carester and Stellantis sign rare earths supply contract to support Stellantis’ commitment to achieve zero carbon footprint by 2038

Carester SAS. (“Carester”) today announced the signing of a sales agreement with Stellantis Auto SAS (“Stellantis”). This long-term agreement, over an initial ten-year period, provides for the supply of over 3,400 tonnes of neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium and terbium oxides, 36% of which are recycled.

“This multi-million euro agreement with Stellantis, one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers, is decisive for the future of Carester’s industrial project at Lacq,” said Frédéric Carencotte, President of Carester. “It validates our unique positioning combining magnet recycling and mining concentrate processing with the highest ESG standards”.

Carester is also honored to have been one of the three finalists for the Stellantis “Supplier of the Year” award in the “Raw Materials” category. This distinction, awarded in Turin on September 24, 2024, aims to reward suppliers for their performance, innovation, alignment with Stellantis’ values and commitment to Stellantis’ objectives. Dare Forward 2030.
