Binding offtake agreement of magnet-grade rare earth oxides from Carester’s industrial unit (Caremag) in Lacq, France.
Offtake agreement for more than 3,400 tons, including a significant portion coming from recycling, for an initial term of ten years.

Carester SAS. (“Carester”) today announced the signing of a binding offtake agreement with Stellantis Auto SAS (“Stellantis”). The long-term agreement provides the supply of more than 3,400 tons of Neodymium, Praseodymium, Dysprosium, and Terbium Oxides over an initial ten-year period, including 36% coming from recycling.
“This multi-million euro agreement with Stellantis, one of the world’s leading automotive manufacturers, is transformative for the future of Carester’s industrial investment in Lacq” said Frédéric Carencotte, President of Carester. “It validates our unique positioning combining the recycling of magnets and the processing of mining concentrates with best-in-class ESG standards”.
Carester is also honoured to have been selected by Stellantis as one of the three nominees for “Supplier of the year” in the “Raw Materials” category. This recognition, awarded in Turin on September 24th 2024, aims to reward suppliers for their performance, innovation, alignment with Stellantis values and commitment to Dare Forward 2030 objectives.
